Scott Smith, a student at Glasgow School of Art, has been rewarded at the recent Goldsmith Craft & Design Council Awards. He won [on 17 May] the 2D Goldsmithing Award sponsored by Maison Gosset. The aim was to design a new champagne stopper that was both practical and elegant, to match the design of the new Champagne Gosset Celebris packaging.
This is the second time Scott Smith has won this award. Last year he won for his revisited Champagne flute.
David Stonehouse, the 2019 Gosset Celebris Award winner, receives the silver medal in the senior 3D modeller category. We also congratulate Joshua Hook and Caius Bearder who received bronze awards for their respective designs Gosset Elevating G and Vineyard Memories.
Well done to all of you for your creative insights into the evolution of contemporary design for the oldest wine house in the Champagne region.
