Vign'art Festival : "Le Remuage"

As part of the Vign'Art 2023 Festival, Maison Gosset is unveiling the name of the work that is installed in its park: Le Remuage, the result of the first collaboration between British artists Fiona Paterson and Jill Gibson

"Champagne is a festive, happy and bubbly drink and we wanted to create a work that has a celebratory theme. The one that, like Champagne, flows into the landscape like a musical and rhythmic score. We took the idea of the perforated structure, in the shape of an inverted V, from the old riddling tables, traditionally used to remove the deposit from wine bottles. It is this structure that served as the inspiration for our piece of art. Note that the perforated holes, effervescent in their form, are representative of the Champagne bubbles itself. Apart from the rigid wooden riddling table, we wanted a work of art that celebrates life and this traditional know-how of Champagne. ".

For Maison Gosset, participating in Vign'Art, a festival in which the vast majority of works are exhibited in the vineyards, serves as a reminder of the House's attachment to its terroir, and symbolically brings the vineyards to the heart of the estate located in the center of the city.

Maison Gosset's park, where the work will be exposed, is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (entrance by 12 rue Godart Roger in Epernay), and permanently visible from the crossroads of “rue Maurice Cerveaux” and “rue Croix de Bussy”.
