Vign'Art invites itself to the Maison de la Maison park

The work « Xabana » of Matthias Neumann

It is in the setting of its listed park, in the heart of Epernay, that Maison Gosset celebrates its attachment to the terroir by hosting a unique work as part of the Vign’Art festival, dedicated to contemporary art and Land Art in Champagne.

On the occasion of the 6th edition of the festival, organized from May 16 to September 21, 2025, the oldest Champagne Wine House is hosting “Xabana”, a unique installation by Matthias Neumann, German artist and architect.

Conceived as a dialogue between tradition and modernity, "Xabana" draws inspiration from the Champagne wine-growing landscape and its expertise. With its X-shaped wooden assembly, the work evokes the ancestral gestures of the vine while offering a contemporary and colorful silhouette. Modular and welcoming, it invites contemplation and encounter, creating spaces conducive to exchange within the historic park of the Maison.

Matthias Neumann, an internationally renowned artist and architect, has created an installation that reflects his commitment to public art and the promotion of heritage. His approach, at the intersection of architecture and sculpture, is fully in line with Maison Gosset's commitment to supporting contemporary creation and sharing with its visitors a unique sensory experience, combining art and local produce.

By integrating a contemporary work into the heart of its estate, Gosset invites visitors to enjoy an immersive experience at the crossroads of Champagne and art.

The work “Xabana” is visible from May 16 to September 21, 2025 in the listed park of Maison Gosset – 12 rue Godart Roger, 51200 Epernay.

Free admission Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., parking on site. Outside of these opening hours, the artwork can be viewed from outside the park, at the intersection of Croix de Bussy and Maurice Cerveaux streets.
