Gosset Matchmakers 2026: Winners
On Monday, 21 September 2026, the final of the 11th edition of the Gosset Matchmakers took place in London, in the kitchens of CORD by Le Cordon Bleu.
A competition dedicated to young talent
Created to showcase the next generation of British gastronomy, Gosset Matchmakers brings together young chef and sommelier duos, each with less than five years of professional experience.
Organised in partnership with Hallgarten & Novum Wines and Sommelier Edit, the competition celebrates the complementary skills of these two professions through food and Champagne pairings created around Champagne Gosset cuvées.
Tadhg McCabe and Jack Stalker, 2026 winners
This year, chef Tadhg McCabe, from Pavyllon by Yannick Alléno, and sommelier Jack Stalker, from Restaurant St Barts, were crowned the 2026 Gosset Matchmakers champions.
The duo particularly impressed with a duck dish paired with Gosset Blanc de Blancs, as well as a creation featuring Loch Duart salmon, the mystery ingredient of the final, paired with Gosset Zéro Dosage.
An event centred around transmission
For eleven editions, Gosset Matchmakers has celebrated transmission, creativity and excellence, values that are deeply rooted in Maison Gosset.
Through this competition, the House is proud to support the next generation of chefs and sommeliers and to celebrate the art of pairing gastronomy with Champagne.
